My name is Rudy, The artist behind Astro Rudy. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where my career began in the culinary world. As a chef, I learned that the smallest details matter—that patience, precision, and creativity can transform something ordinary into something unforgettable. Those lessons still guide me today, but my canvas has changed.

Today, my passion is fine art photography.

My journey to Nantucket began because of my Uncle Chris. He introduced me to this remarkable island, and in doing so, changed the course of my life. Surrounded by quiet beaches, historic lighthouses, and some of the darkest skies on the East Coast, I discovered a world that inspired me in ways I never expected. Here, I found a passion for photographing both the natural beauty of Nantucket and the endless wonder of the night sky.

Every photograph I create is an invitation to slow down.

Whether it's the soft glow of the Milky Way stretching over the Atlantic, a distant nebula whose light has traveled millions of years to reach us, or the quiet beauty of Nantucket's wildlife at sunrise, I strive to capture moments that remind us how extraordinary our world—and our universe—truly are.

After Uncle Chris suddenly passed away in 2026, this work took on an even deeper meaning. He was an artist who encouraged me to pursue my creativity and dreamed of opening an art gallery one day. Every photograph I create is a tribute to his belief in the power of art to inspire and connect people.
